BUKU 2018 Travel Package FAQs
Q: Do these Travel Packages have a minimum age requirement?
A: All BUKU attendees must be at least 18 years of age.* However, all persons must be at least 18+ to purchase and check into the Hilton St. Charles and New Orleans Marriott Convention Center. People under those ages may still occupy a room; however the person whose name is booked for the reservation must be of the age required for hotel check-in. Please be sure to bring valid photo ID to check in.
*Please note, any guests who purchase a 21+ VIP Travel Package must be at least 21 years of age to attend the festival.
Q: Where will I receive my tickets?
A: We will have a Travel Package Check-in at the hotel where you will pick up your tickets and merchandise. Please be sure to bring your photo ID and credit card. Although your room is paid for in full, you will need a credit card for any incidentals you may incur. As it gets closer to the event (approximately one week prior), the package purchaser will receive an informational email with the exact time and location for Travel Package Check-in.
Q: If I’m unable to make it to check-in, how can I receive my merchandise?
A: All merchandise will need to be picked up on-site at our Travel Package Check-in. We are unable to ship out any merchandise that is supposed to be picked up at check-in.
Q: What time is check-in and check-out at the hotels?
A: We abide by the hotels’ standard check-in and check-out times, which are:
Hilton St. Charles
Check-in begins at 3pm each day and all guests must be checked out on the end of their stay by 11am.
New Orleans Marriott Convention Center
Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out on the end of their stay by 11am.
Q: Is hotel parking included?
A: Hotel parking is not included in the package. Please refer to the hotel website or contact the hotel directly for parking information.
Q: Is there a payment plan for these packages?
A: Yes, there are payment plans for all travel packages! An initial 60% will be charged upon purchasing your package and the final 40% payment will be automatically deducted on 1/31/18. If you purchase after 1/31/18, you will be charged for the package in full upon your purchase.
Please note: This is an automatic payment plans, meaning you won’t need to choose to enter into it – you’re on the plan simply by clicking “purchase.” Additional ticketing or purchase fees may apply.
Q: Are room upgrades available?
A: Room upgrades are not available through CID Entertainment. If you would like to upgrade your room type we suggest that you contact the hotel directly to confirm availability and upgrade pricing. Guests are responsible for confirming all details and paying the hotel directly for all associated upgrade charges. Please note that the hotel will not have your name on file until closer to the event date.
Q: Can I add additional nights to my Travel Package?
A: For additional nights, please book an independent reservation for those nights with the hotel directly, with the same room type as your travel package. Please contact us with the new reservation number and your CID Entertainment order number, and our hotel team will submit a request to the hotel to combine your stay. Q: Can our room be next to our friends? Can they be connected?
A: Please contact our Guest Services team after purchasing and we will do our best to put you next to, or as close as possible, your friends. Connecting rooms are rare, but we will do our best. Please have both your and your friend’s order numbers with you when you contact us.
Q: I purchased a package as a gift, but I will not be in attendance. How can my friend and family member pick up their ticket on my behalf?
A: In order to accommodate this, the original purchaser must contact our Guest Services team at 888-805-8930 or email@example.com to authorize an alternate pick-up person at least 2 weeks before the event date. This authorization will allow a friend or family member to pick up the package on the purchaser’s behalf. All informational emails and correspondence will still go to the original purchaser and it is up to them to relay the information to the guest that is attending the event.
Q: What if I change my mind and don’t want my package?
A: All packages are non-refundable. Please refer to the Purchase Policy for complete details.
