Travel Package FAQs
Q: Do the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Packages have a minimum age?
A: There is not a minimum age to attend the festival but all persons must be 18+ to purchase a travel package and check-in to the hotels. Persons under the age of 18 years may still occupy a room, however the person whose name is booked for the reservation must be 18 years of age to check-in and must present valid photo identification.
Q: Where will I receive my tickets?
A: A CID Entertainment representative will be at the hotel to assist you. Here you can check-in and pick up your tickets and shuttle passes for a weekend of fun! Please bring your receipt, picture ID, and credit card. As it gets closer to the event, the package purchaser will receive an email with all of the event details, including exact times and locations for the check-in.
Q: What are the differences between the Krewe of Jazz, Grand Marshal, and Big Chief VIP tickets?
A: You can view specific details regarding each ticket type on the official Jazz Fest website here.
Q: Is there a payment plan for the Travel Packages?
A: Yes, an initial 60% will be charged upon purchasing your package and the final 40% payment will be automatically deducted on 3/15/17 for Weekend 1 or 3/22/17 for Weekend 2. If you purchase after those dates, you will be charged for the package in full upon your purchase.
Q: What time is check-in and check-out at the hotels?
A: We abide by the hotels’ standard check-in and check-out times, which are:
New Orleans Marriott: Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out on the end of their stay by 11am.
Westin New Orleans: Check-in begins at 3pm each day and all guests must be checked out on the end of their stay by 12pm.
Q: Is parking provided at the hotels?
A: Hotel parking is not included in these packages. Valet parking is available for an additional fee at both hotels. You can view parking information on the New Orleans Marriott and Westin New Orleans websites.
However, shuttle transportation is available to and from the event. As it gets closer to the event, the package purchaser will receive an email with all of the event details, including exact times and locations for the shuttle services.
Q: How far are the hotels from Jazz Fest?
A: The New Orleans Marriott is approximately (3) miles away and the Westin New Orleans is approximately (3.5) miles away from the venue, which is located at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
Q: The people attending the festival with me may be arriving late. How can they check in to the hotel and get their tickets and shuttle passes?
A: The original purchaser will pick up everyone’s tickets and shuttle passes upon Travel Package Check-in at the hotel. They will have to distribute accordingly. We advise everyone arrive at the hotel all at once.
Q: I purchased a package as a gift, but I will not be in attendance. How can my friend or family member pick up the package on my behalf?
A: In order to accommodate this, the original purchaser must contact our Guest Services team at 888-805-8930 or firstname.lastname@example.org to authorize an alternate pick-up person at least 2 weeks before the event date. This authorization will allow a friend or family member to pick-up the package on the purchaser’s behalf. All informational emails and correspondence will still go to the original purchaser and it is up to them to relay the information to the guest that is attending the event.
Q: Can I use my CID package for a contest/giveaway or to promote my website/product/event?
A: No. CID Entertainment’s trademarks, intellectual property, tickets and other offerings may NOT be used for advertising, promotions, auctions, contests, sweepstakes or any commercial purpose, without express written consent from CID and its partners. Q: What if I change my mind and don’t want my package?
A: All packages are nonrefundable. Please refer to the Purchase Policy for complete details.
